Exploring STEM Technologies Together: Exciting Workshop Series “STEM in Action: The Year of Science 2024/2025” at the City Library Neuss
Science and discovery take center stage as the workshop series ‘STEM in Action: The Year of Science 2024/2025’ gets underway at the City Library Neuss in collaboration with Fujifilm Europe GmbH. This inspiring initiative celebrates the intersection of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and provides young learners and science enthusiasts with hands-on experiences that bring the fascinating world of STEM to life.
Last year, participants were wowed by immersive workshops featuring Virtual Reality and Merge Cubes, which allowed them to explore science from innovative perspectives. This year, the series opened with the mobile student lab ‘Just Science’, where school classes delved into the basics of DNA research. The hands-on learning experience offered students an exciting introduction to the building blocks of life.
In the most recent sessions, the spotlight was on everyday chemistry. Under the expert guidance of E+S Chemie, young STEM enthusiasts not only engaged with theoretical knowledge of substances but also performed their own experiments in small groups. Adding to the excitement, the two young chemists from E+S Chemie captivated audiences at the Night of the Libraries (Nacht der Bibliotheken) with interactive experiments and an awe-inspiring chemistry show.
As the series unfolds, we’ll continue to uncover the wonders of STEM together. The initiative stands as a testament to the power of experiential learning, sparking curiosity and passion for science and technology.
Join us as we explore the cutting-edge world of science and innovation side by side. Let’s discover, learn, and grow – together!
