FUJIFILM Wako Presents Diagnostic Solution β-D-Glucan test at the Joint Microbiology & Infection Conference 2024

We participated in the 7th Joint Microbiology & Infection Conference of the German Society for Hygiene and Microbiology (DGHM) and the Association of General and Applied Microbiology (VAAM). The conference, held in Würzburg, Germany, from June 2nd to 5th, explored crucial topics in microbiology, including antimicrobial resistance and planetary health.

At the conference, we had the privilege of presenting the FUJIFILM Wako β-Glucan Test, an in vitro diagnostic test for the quantitative determination of (1→3)-β-D-Glucan in serum or plasma. The test utilizes the device LIMUSAVE MT-7500, providing diagnostic solutions for professionals in the field of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases.

The DGHM-VAAM 2024 focused on current global challenges in microbiology, addressing critical issues such as the growing prevalence of antimicrobial resistance and the impact of digitalization in hospital laboratories. These topics, along with planetary health, where different ecosystems are considered holistically, were at the forefront of expert discussions during the conference.

We highlighted our invasive fungal infection diagnostic system, the LIMUSAVE MT-7500, which provides detections of invasive fungal infections. The state-of-the-art system measures the pan-fungal biomarker beta-D-Glucan, enabling healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat fungal infections.

We would like to extend its gratitude to all the professionals who visited our booth and engaged in valuable discussions about our diagnostic solutions. We remain dedicated to delivering new technologies to support healthcare professionals worldwide.
